A half-hour piece of music-theatre has become an all-too-real reflection of today's bad behavior surrounding issues of immigration and national identity. Young and Pinto collaboratively created the text, music, and staging, scoring the piece for their own voices, violin, percussion, a turntable, samples, and lots of cardboard boxes. In …Patriots…, instrumental music alternates with sung and spoken words, zany and humorous topical quips alternate with personal, pointed critiques of the political zeitgeist, fully notated sections merge into structured musical and textual improvisations, and tonal harmonies mix with startling, untraditional musical effects.

Forced into Femininity
https://hausumountain.bandcamp.com/album/heterochromea

Jill Lloyd Flanagan’s performance Forced into Femininity has devolved from being an emotional torture anti-drag act into her present condition of serving as as electronic drum set made out of various children’s keyboards. The music remains about the ecological death of the earth, The burden of shared grief set at our feet by capitalism, transphobia ad animal cruelty. She has released “Heterochromea” on Hausu Mountain Records and in the works is a new release “Erraticism” On Pop Nihil. She was also in the bands Coughs, Learned Helplessness and currently plays in CB Radio Gorgeous in Chicago.

Blair Summers

http://www.inverseperformanceartfestival.org/blair-summers/

"Blair Summers is an artist/educator in Oklahoma City interested in deconstructing forms of masculinity, heteronormativity, industrialization, and American Exceptionalism associated with sports culture. As a result, ingrained elements of American sport febrility activate a space for queer dis-identification; appropriating majority culture as a means to fashion anti-normative identities and forms of resistance."
